This session was suppose to be a "Fall Session." Though it was technically still fall, we don't often think of mid-November as being that fall-ish. However, the weather Gods were with us that day, for it was a beautiful morning with nice, soft lighting. The leaves were still scattered on the ground, and the hues still hinted at Fall. 

Mom, I know you are anxious to see these, so I hope I do not disappoint!

Finally, I LOVE this family portrait. Would love to have a portrait like this of my two boys, two dogs, and husband.

This family truly inspired me. The love they all have for one another is so obvious. Though I photograph many families, it is not very often that I get to work with an extended family, where all the siblings, grandparents, and grandchildren are all together. I can only imagine how complicated it can be to plan such an outing - coordinating everyone's schedules, children's naps and feed times, etc. I am guilty myself - I have been meaning to schedule a family portrait session with my family and grandparents, my brother, etc., but that has gotten no where. However, after photographing this beautiful family, I vow to gift myself and my family with something similar - a timeless portrait of our entire family. I, too, would like to hang a large canvas of my family in my bedroom or family room.
